We Are Still Here

Dec 31, 2013 by 42 Fish

This documentary was made by Devin Pielle with assistance from Shelby George, Courtney Harrop, Emma Bell and Zoë Ludski. It is part of a national project called Resonating Reconciliation.

We Are Still Here reflects the stories of 6 Tla'Amin survivors and 2 community members among many, fighting for language revitalization.

Resonating Reconciliation is a project that engages community radio to help reconcile all Canadians with the history of Indian Residential Schools, to help build grassroots skills among community-based broadcasters in respectful reporting on the ongoing legacy of Indian Residential Schools, and provide a lasting record of survivors’ experiences.

For more information on this project and to hear other documentaries in the series please visit the NCRA website.

These stories may trigger intense emotions for some audience members. If you are in crisis, and need emotional support, please call the 24-Hour National Crisis Line: 1-866-925-4419
