Tonight's show is MAGIC!!  No, really, it is.  Bad Karen is joined in studio by magician Ted Outerbridge who performs a magic trick live in the studio.  Sunshine Coast MLA Nicholas Simons is on hand to make sure it's all on the up & up and then stays on for the Easter edition of 'What's Up Down in Victoria'.

The post-Valentine's Day edition, in which the tables are turned and Sunshine Coast MLA Nicholas Simons hosts the show (with assistance from the amazing Zoe Ludski) and Bad Karen calls in.  Lots of insights into Parliamentary goings on plus great local music from the likes of Cameron Twyfford, Nancy Tyler and Slim Milkie.

Topics include: the Tla'amin Treaty, Sensible BC, What is an MLA?, Constituencies, Idle No More, 2-minute Statements, and more.

Sunshine Coast MLA succumbed to the bug that has been going around Pow Town so is unable to give the 'What's Up Down In Victoria' report this week; however, Bad Karen has a pre-recorded interview with Powell River City Councillor Russell Brewer about the Official Community Plan review which is currently under way, and beer blogger (and soon-to-be Powell Rivieran) Paddy Trevor calls in.

Sunshine Coast MLA Nicholas Simons is in studio for the apocalypse show, and there were some classic community radio moments with microphones and telephones and a contest.  We also discuss Idle No More & the myriad of holiday events going on in the coastal town they could not shut down.

In honour of the apocalypse, it's a world themed show with The Stone Roses, David Bowie, Depeche Mode, Morcheeba, Carole King, and yes, REM.  What can I say?  I truly enjoy that song!  Also more from my collection of non-standard holiday music with selections from Sufjan Stevens, Jenny Owen Youngs, Belle & Sebastien, and The Presidents of the United States of America.
